I took this bag on a 5 day backpacking trip around Mt. Katahdin and really put it to the test. I can't stand sleeping bags in the first place, so it's rare that I have anything nice to say about one. I like to stretch out when I sleep, and that just doesn't work when you're in a mummy bag. The square toe of this bag certainly helped over the tapered toe that I'm used to. Normally I have to give up the hood before I can get a square toe. Not only do you have a hood on this bag, but a mosquito net as well! Most of the mosquitoes disappeared after dark on my trip, but that's when all the spiders came out. I was the only person in the lean-to who wasn't covered in tick and spider bites at the end of the trip.My trip did push the temperature limits of this bag a bit. I ended up using a liner to stay comfortable in 35-40 degree weather. Still, I'd rather add a liner than be stuck in a bag that is painfully hot...
